The popular "GLADIATOR" 22W Actinic Trap is now available as a DEDICATED 12V D.C. trap, so there is no need for an inverter. This cuts down on the weight, so now the Gladiator 12 weighs only 1.7 kg (trap, electrics & tube) - that's less than 4lbs !  Available with or without integral Solar Switch. Available with croc-clips or cigar-type plug (to plug straight into "power packs"). Rainproof controls. Overload protection (with spare fuses). Reverse-polarity protection. Supplied with 1x 22W Actinic Tube.

The 22W - 12V ELECTRICS are also available for you to fit to your own trap (see photos above right - click on photos for more detail). These electrics use high quaility U.S. electronic ballasts and are very lightweight (electrics 450g - Tube 150g). Power consumption (@ 12V) is 1.4A (standby on solar switch - 12mA) so will run for 10 hours + on a 17Ah "power pack" and with a decent car battery (50Ah+) will achieve several nights trapping. Fused, and with reverse polarity protection on both the solar switch and ballast board, these are an excellent unit.  Can be fitted to your own funnel trap using 16 - 20cm funnels, or fit to "Johnson Safari" or "Ranger" net traps. Will also fit Robinsons & ALS traps.
