LAUNCHED IN SPRING 2002, this set comprises all you need to catch moths using a mains supply or generator.  Based on the famous "Robinson" pattern, this trapset has several superior features to the Robinson, yet is priced at under £110 plus delivery*.

SAFETY FIRST: All Sets are built & tested by a C&G qualified Electrical Engineer working to latest I.E.E. 16th Edn. standards. The Sets come fitted with a RoSPA approved BS7071 RCD Safety device to help eliminate electrical shock.

The Set includes 1 x 125W standard Mercury Vapour Lamp and will also run the Compact "Woods Filter" Black Lamps without any modification.

UNIQUE FEATURES of the set are the Aluminium Lamp-vanes and Aluminium Top-plate which have been computer machined for accuracy and uniformity. The sets are constructed with Aluminium & plastic components extending the life of the sets, yet keeping a lightweight design at low-cost. The vanes can be removed in minutes for changing the lamp. SET WEIGHT including choke unit is just 4.8 kilos !

• Hi Temperature Lampholder Assembly (E27 - ES Screw fitting).


• 125W ES Mercury Vapour Lamp (Philips or Sylvania brand). Small Rainshield.


• Full Aluminium Lamp Vanes and all fixings & instructions.


• Aluminium Top-Plate 370mm x 300mm fitted with plastic trap cone.

RAINPROOF IP56 CHOKEBOX AVAILABLE: The set is also available with a rainproof IP56 chokebox where it is not possible to keep the chokebox indoors or under cover - £10.00 extra - this now INCLUDES waterproof "Aqua-safe" connectors to disconnect the chokebox from the set & lead for easy transport.
A PHOTO-ELECTRIC SWITCH is also available on the IP56 chokeboxes only - the chokebox is left outside and the solar switch will switch the set on at dusk (< 70 lux) and off at dawn (>210 lux) and is not affected by car headlights etc. The IP56 rated Photo-Switch Unit costs just £30 extra on the full set price and now includes waterproof "Aqua-safe" connectors.

POWER-FACTOR CORRECTION CAPACITORS can also be fitted if the set is to be used on a small generator, or you wish to use several 125W sets on one generator.  These cost £5.00 extra fitted and can be fitted to the standard Aluminium chokeboxes OR the IP56 chokeboxes but PLEASE SPECIFY WHEN ORDERING as the wiring & construction is different.
A 10uF PF-Cap will reduce the current drawn to approx 0.7A on the 125Watt Set (230V AC 50 Hz).

EXTRA M.V. LAMPS BOUGHT AT SAME TIME AS A FULL SET cost just  £7.00 each. - - - BLACK LAMPS - Special Compact Fluorescent Woods Filter lamps are available to run in this set - £14.95 each.

LARGE RAINSHIELD KIT: 500mm x 400mm Di-bond rainshield to cover whole trap, with s/steel supports & all fixings: Fits the "Hawk" MV Trap Sets above & the Gladiator sets - £14.95 ea. No carriage charge if ordering with a set. Otherwise, carriage charge is £4.00 (currently in stock)
